About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Home Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to an individual in a private household. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting clients with daily living activities and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide personal care and bedside assistance
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Administer medications as directed by the employer or healthcare professional
• Support with routine physical activities such as walking or light exercise
• Feed or assist with feeding, as required
• Perform light housekeeping and general cleaning duties
• Mend or care for clothing and linens as needed
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and a positive presence
Qualifications
• Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 to 7 months of hands-on experience in caregiving, home support, or related personal care roles.
• Certifications: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
• Language: Proficiency in English is required
• Must be able to work on-site at the employer’s residence
Work Schedule
Shifts may include:
• Early morning
• Day
• Evening
• Night
• Weekend
• On-call as required
Preferred Candidate
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Experienced in caregiving or similar roles
• Lives in or near Scarborough, ON
• Holds required certifications (CPR & First Aid)
Hours per week: 30-44
Salary per hour: 21$
