The Barrhead Inn & Suits is seeking to hire Hotel Housekeeper to join our team at 5905 – 49 Street, Barrhead, AB, T7N 1A6. All candidates must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow our current crew with a positive attitude and character.

We offer:

·         Wage: $20.20 per hour

·         Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week

Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Ensure that assigned bedrooms, corridors and other areas are properly cleaned daily

·         Ensure that the beds are made and sheets are changed in the guest rooms

·         Replace and distribute clean towels and toiletries in all guest rooms

·         Dust, vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

·         Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors in the rooms and common areas

·         Clean, disinfect and polish bathroom fixtures and appliances

·         Pick up debris and empty trash containers

·         Launder towels, bedding and other household linens as required

·         Be accountable and responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas

·         Stock linen closet and wash windows, walls and ceilings

·         Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies

·         Provide superior customer service to all guests and vendors

·         Follow provided checklists to ensure that all standards are maintained consistently

·         Report any issues to manager on duty

·         Ensure that Lost and Found articles are stored properly and that the correct logs are maintained

·         Come to work on time and ready to start every day

·         Ensure that all reports are prepared completely and on time

Qualifications and Skills:

·         Must be able to communicate in English

·         No degree, certificate or diploma required

·         Experience an asset

·         Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently; Tight deadlines; Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Attention to detail; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Standing for extended periods
