1225461 Alberta Ltd. o/a RiverValley Custom Homes is looking to hire a Construction helpers to join our team. All candidates must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow our current crew with a positive attitude and character.

We offer:

·         Wage: $28.00 per hour

·         Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week

Terms of employment:

·         Full time permanent position

·         Job start date: as soon as possible

·         Work site environment: Outdoors, Dusty

Specific Skills:

·         Load and unload construction materials, and move them to work areas

·         Install and remove concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades at construction sites

·         Support structural assembly tasks by helping construct building frameworks and exterior structural components

·         Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt

·         Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment and guide them in moving equipment

·         Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites

·         Level earth to fine grade specifications using rakes and shovels

·         Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

·         Sort, stack, and organize reusable construction materials recovered from worksites

·         Tend or feed equipment used in construction, such as mixers, compressors and pumps

·         Carry out basic upkeep and servicing tasks to keep tools, machinery, and site equipment in working condition

·         Clean up spills or other contaminants, and remove asbestos or other materials

·         Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment

·         Direct traffic at or near construction sites

·         Place traffic signals where appropriate

Qualifications:

·         Must be able to communicate in English

·         No degree, certificate or diploma

·         Experience an asset

·         Ability to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
