IT Specialist Permanent Full Time

Position Summary:

The IT specialist will be responsible for many projects and functions relating to the efficiency and security of Axiomatic’s operations. Such projects could include the development of a web store, integration and increased utilization of the company’s Epicor ERP system and further enhancements with regard to cybersecurity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Web Store Development and Management:

• Design, build, and maintain the company’s internal web store.
• Ensure seamless integration of the web store with the Epicor ERP system.
• Regularly update product listings, prices, and promotional content.
• Monitor web store performance and user feedback to implement improvements.

ERP System Utilization:

• Leverage the Epicor ERP system to streamline internal operations.
• Customize and optimize ERP modules to meet the specific needs of various departments.
• Provide training and support to staff on the effective use of the ERP system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the ERP system.

Cybersecurity Management:

• Develop and implement the company’s cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Monitor network traffic for security incidents and respond to threats promptly.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.

IT Infrastructure Management:

• Maintain and upgrade hardware and software as needed.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of the company’s IT infrastructure.
• Manage data backups and recovery processes.
• Oversee network administration and support.

Project Management:

• Lead IT projects from conception through to completion.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to employees, resolving IT-related issues.
• Manage the IT helpdesk and ensure timely resolution of tickets.
• Document IT processes and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar) are highly desirable.

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in IT-related functions including developing/managing web stores.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Epicor ERP systems.
• Extensive experience in managing cybersecurity within an organization.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.
• Experience in project management and leading IT projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant web development frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Epicor.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and practices.
• Familiarity with network administration and support.
• Competence in using various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
