Salmon Arm Dollar Store is a popular grocery store in Salmon Arm. Our store sells a variety of quality discount merchandise. We are looking for an experienced Store manager as our key management team member. The successful candidate will create a brighter future for our company.

Job title: Store manager
Salary$40/ hour
Work hours: 30-40 hours per week
Location: Salmon Arm, BC
Start date: As soon as possible
Working Schedule：Early Morning, evening, weekend, holiday and overtime required
Term of employment: This is an indeterminate full-time position

Responsibilities:

Manage staff and assign duties
Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
Determine merchandise and services to be sold
Implement price and credits policies
Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
Develop and implement marketing strategies
Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
Determine staffing requirements
Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers

Experience and specialization

Job requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree or above
Experience
Have at least three to five years of experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.

Skills
Be proficient in Point of Sale (POS) systems,Database software, inventory control software, Spreadsheet and MS outlook.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Have the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop store staff.
Have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
