Personal Support Worker Full Time NEW

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate caregiver to provide care for an elderly women in Thornhill, ON.

Main duties:

Administer medications;
Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene;
Assist in regular exercise, e.g. walk;
Feed of assist in feeding;
Launder clothing and household linens;
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties;
Provide companionship and personal care;
Shop for household supplies and food;
Prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Language Requirements: English

Work Setting: Work takes place in the Employer’s home. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis; (Note: This is NOT a condition of an employment).

Hourly rate: $21.00. Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime rate: $31.50 paid after 44 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

7 months to less than 1 year of experience working with seniors or with people with disabilities;
Secondary school diploma required;
First AID/CPR certification is preferred;
Patience, compassion, and sensitivity to elderly people and people with special needs;
Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and organizational skills;
Availability for occasional overtime;
Weight handling: 45-60 kg (100-132 lbs)
