Job description:
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Ensure food is prepared and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen at all times.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
Assist with inventory management and ensure that ingredients are properly stocked and fresh.
Work with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
Assist with menu planning and suggest new dish ideas.
Ensure all food orders are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Adhere to all safety and cleanliness protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen position.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of food presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; Culinary School diploma is a plus.
