Languages Required: English

Education:

• College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 1–2 years

Experience:

• 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Site Environment:

• Non-smoking

Work Setting:

• Employer’s home

• Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (NOT a condition of employment)

Responsibilities

Tasks Include:

• Change diapers

• Assume full household responsibility in absence of parents

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Shop for food and household supplies

• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping

• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children

• Discipline children according to parents’ guidelines

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Keep daily activity and health records for children

• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment

• Organize activities such as games and outings for children

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Prepare infants and children for rest periods

• Supervise and care for children

• Take children to/from school and appointments

• Support emotional well-being of children

• Help with homework

• Cook
