Job Duties:
· Welcome and greet customers as they enter the convenience store, deli restaurant, laundromat, and liquor store.
· Calculate the cost of various items such as snacks, beverages, ice creams, slushies, lottery tickets, groceries, deli items, and liquor products. Use electronic cash registers, optical price scanners, or other equipment to determine the total payment accurately.
· Receive and process payments by cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit for purchases made at the gas station, convenience store, deli restaurant, laundromat and liquor store.
· Bag or wrap merchandise carefully for customers, ensuring safe and convenient handling of their purchases.
· Provide customers with information about products, services, and store policies, including details about lottery tickets and the propane section.
· Calculate total payments received at the end of the work shift and reconcile them with the total sales to ensure accurate financial records.
· Verify the age of customers when selling age-restricted items such as lottery tickets and liquor in compliance with legal requirements.
· Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized checkout counter area to create a welcoming shopping environment.
