Guardium Security Services is currently looking for Security Guard Supervisors to join their team.

Specific Skills:
· Oversees the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of security guards and desk clerks.
· Coordinate and oversee the security guards in a building or within a designated area.
· Maintaining Team Discipline & Compliance to Standards / Regulations.
· Assign work areas for security guards to patrol.
· Monitor security guards by patrolling with them.
· Conduct routine patrols with team.
· Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports.
· Report and communicate with management.
· Hire, select, prepare and conduct training for new hires and current staff, including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures and related safety and security topics.
· Train security guards on facility familiarization, policy understanding and compliance.
· Instruct new security guards about patrol routes and explain proper procedures for handling personnel during emergency and non-emergency situations.
· Devise strategies, appoint personnel and implement protocols that ensure the safety of the establishment, property and occupants.
· Maintain law and order in area of jurisdiction.
· Respond to alarms and distress calls.
· Look out for suspicious persons, vandalism or hazards.
· Ensure all security systems, including burglar alarms and CCTV systems, are functioning properly.
· Write and submit security reports.
· Respond to medical emergencies by providing first aid, CPR and support until medical personnel arrive.
· Inspect assigned equipment, including but not limited to handcuffs, CPR life masks and flashlights.
· Assist students, faculty and visitors by verifying identification and student IDs.
· Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, security equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repairs when required.
· Develop and implement security policies, disaster recovery plans, business continuity procedures and change management initiatives.
· Perform the same duties as security guards when required.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to communicate in English
· Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
· 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
· Certificates, licences, memberships and courses: Security Guard License
· Personal suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Initiative, Organized, Reliability, Team player
· Supervise: Security guards and Staff in various areas of responsibility
· Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Fast-paced environment; Standing for extended periods; Work under pressure
